Bali is renowned for its bright and richly cultural ceremonies. There are numerous island-wide religious
festivals to mark sacred days according to the Balinese calendar that you can witness or be part of.
- Odalan. The coming of the Gods on temple anniversary
- Nyepi. Balinese New Year, the day of silence when the whole island shuts
- Galungan & Kuningan. Celebrate the creation of the universe, the victory of the
good against the evil.
- Pagerwesi. A festival dedicated to the spiritual strengthening and development of
individuals’ focus against evil.
- Tumpek. Every 35 days, Balinese make offering to valuable properties
- Full Moon. Full Moon is believed to be the day when God answers prayers and the
Balinese prayers includes honoring the shadow and light to find balance in life.
